Day Nineteen

Post a picture of his favorite show and tell of one episode you watched with him

Chris likes to watch sports, all the time. And if a game isn't on, he watches Sports Center. No matter what time of day, if he is watching tv, it's ESPN. When he is deployed it is so weird not hearing about sports 24/7, and not being updated with what teams are doing good, I miss it in a way. It's kind of weird.

Day Eighteen

Post a picture/video and the lyrics of your and your spouse’s song and tell how/why it became your song.

KCI & JoJo - All My Life is our wedding song. We chose it because the lyrics are amazing. :) That's pretty much it lol

Day Seventeen

Post a picture of something your spouse left you while he was away and how that helped you… did/do you carry it with you or sleep with it?

On Chris's first deployment, the Family Readiness Center gave me a little bag with a bunch of stuff in it. You can record stuff on the teddy bear, so Chris said a little message on it. I listen to it before bed every night. It helps because it's nice to hear his voice before I go to bed. It also came with a tiny little pillow thing, which is kinda cute.

Day Sixteen

Post a picture of your favorite piece of jewelry that your spouse has gotten you and why it is your favorite

My wedding ring is my favorite piece of jewelry he has gotten me. It was my mom's old wedding ring my dad gave to her. Even though it was handed down, it still means a lot to me. I don't have a wedding band with it just yet.. But it's perfect for me. I don't need anything huge or flashy :)

Day Fifteen

Post a picture of your spouse during your proudest moment of him

I'm a horrible wife and don't have hardly any pictures of him dealing with his job. This is the night of Chris' ALS graduation. He won the commandant award for his class. I was extremely proud of him. I would have to say though, my all-time favorite, which I don't have a picture of because I deleted them :( Was when he graduated basic training! No matter what he does or accomplishes in his career, I am always proud of him <3 I guess I have to start carrying my camera more often!

Day Fourteen.

Post a picture of what consumes most of your time when your spouse is away

The computer consumes the majority of my time while Chris is gone. Either being on Facebook, YouTube, or Googling random things. I am on the computer for probably over 3 hours a day. It's pretty sad. When I'm not on the computer, I'm watching HGTV. I love this show. I watch it for inspiration for decorating my house and I love all the shows on there! Ah I'm such a loser.

Day Thirteen.

Post a picture of your favorite military support accessory and tell where you got it from

I really hate to post the same picture twice...
But this is my favorite support accessory.
I used to have a yellow ribbon on my tree back
home while Chris was deployed, but since
I'm not there, I can't put one up.

Day Twelve.

Post a picture of a book you are reading/have read because of your spouse being in the military and tell how it has helped you.

I haven't read any military books yet..
But I've heard this one was good, so I
might look for it on Amazon :)

Day Eleven.

Post a picture of the stationary you pour your heart out onto in letters to your spouse

I only write him letters occasionally.. We stick to email.
I can't tell you how many emails we have sent
back and forth since he's been gone..
It has to be over 300, maybe even more.
I love that I'm able to talk to him every single day.
Thank you internet!

Day Ten

Post a photo that you or your spouse took on webcam or cell phone

 I love him<3

Sunday, June 19, 2011

Day Nine

Post a picture of your favorite thing that you or your spouse has made and tell what it is.

 On Chris's first deployment
he made me a 550 cord bracelet <3
I try and wear it as often as I can
but I put it on my keys so I don't lose it :)

I bought one while he was in basic training in 2008,
but this one means more than that one ever could
because he made it for me <3

Day Six.

Post a picture of the base your spouse is stationed at and tell 5 cool things about that base

1. Atlantic Ocean on one side, Banana River on the other. Enough said.
2. Our first house together
3. Tons to do around the area.
4. The housing is decent
5. Tons to do around the area

What sucks about it is the tons of old people that come every day! Annoying.

Day Five.

Post a pic of the branch he is in and list your favorite "stay strong" quote.

Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing love when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough.

Day Four.

Post a picture of the family he had to leave behind to protect his country

Our boys, Brady & Duncan
& Me of course :o)

Day Three.

Post a a random photo of how you and your spouse met. Did you know then that you’d be where you are with him today?

We met at Springstead High School in 9th grade. We didn't really talk very much before and after we started going out, so from than, no I probably wouldn't have thought we would get married right out of high school, over 3 years ago. I'm glad I went and sat at Jason Contois's lunch table, because I never would have found out that Chris thought I was "hot" :)

Sunday, June 12, 2011

50%

I don't really have much to blog about besides the fact that tomorrow Chris is halfway done with being deployed! I'm waiting for him to get on Skype, then after that, watching a movie and relaxing & playing Tiny Wings on my phone!
