Update on my boring life

First, let me just tell you how happy I am that I'm done with the 30 day picture challenge! I was getting very tired of doing it, but I didn't want to quit halfway through, and there was only one picture I skipped because I didn't have anything to put there lol.

So,  things have been going great in Oklahoma. I only have about a month left then I'm heading back to Florida. 33 days to be exact. I found Chris and I a cute apartment. I haven't seen it in person, but the pics of it are cute and I'm so excited! It's been stressful having to do everything on my own without Chris's help, but it'll pay off in the end since we won't be living in base housing.

Chris sews on Staff Sgt on August 1st. I couldn't be any more proud of him. He's been waiting for a year to put it on. We are finally almost coming to an end to his deployment. Once I get to Florida, he will have about 3-4 weeks and he'll be home!

We have our trip planned out for when he gets home. We'll be going on a 7-day cruise to Cozumel, Belize, Honduras, and the Cayman Islands. We leave October 2nd :) What an awesome birthday to spend it in Belize. We're gonna have so much fun! We already planned out what we're gonna do each day. Swim with dolphins and sting rays, tubing through some caves, and the thing I'm most excited about, underwater sea trek, check out the pic :) I can't wait for this trip. Chris and I have never taken a vacation alone just the two of us, so this will be a first, and will be his first time on a cruise. Ahh I'm so excited :D

Tell me that isn't the coolest thing you've seen!

I have still been grateful enough to talk to Chris every day since he's been gone. We send about 50 emails a day, and then I get a call on Skype once he gets off work. Other than planning the move back home, and planning the cruise, nothing exciting has really been going on, my life is still pretty boring.

If home is where you are, then home is too far away.

Day Thirty

Post a picture of your favorite military spouse support group and tell how it has helped you.

I don't have a favorite support group, because I have so many. I have about 5 or 6 that are through Facebook. I don't ask for support as much as I lend support to others. It's great to talk to other people who are going through the same thing, it makes it alot easier :)

Day Twenty Nine

Post a picture of the coolest place you ever got to go to because of your spouse being in the military.

I don't know if this counts or not, but when Chris deployed for the first time, I went up to visit my brother in Montana, and we went to Glacier National Park. It was probably the prettiest place I have ever been. Every inch of it looked like a post card. It was so pretty, and I definitely want to go back! Even though there is nothing else in Montana lol

Day Twenty Eight

Post a picture of the band that sings the song of your significant other’s ring tone while they are away.

His ringtone is 'Crazy Girl' by Eli Young Band.
Such a good song, go listen to it!

Day Twenty Seven

Post a picture of something that reminds you of your spouse and tell why it does.

Anything dealing with sports reminds me of Chris. He plays sports, watches, plays them on video games and talks about it. And when he's gone it's weird not hearing anything about them lol.

Day Twenty Six

Post a homecoming picture and tell how you felt that day

Sadly I don't have any homecoming pictures.. I was by myself last homecoming, and didn't get anyone to snap any for us :( I am hoping to get some when he comes home in a few months.. and I will definitely be posting them :)

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was for him to come home. It was a crazy day to begin with. My brother was visiting for his Exodus leave from Tech School, and we were dropping him off at the airport at 6am, the same day Chris was coming home. When we got back to the house, I loaded up the car and starting making my 3-hour drive back to Patrick AFB. I made it quite early due to speeding. I hurried up and unpacked the car, took a shower, and cleaned the house up a bit. It took me a little over an hour to do all this. I then jumped back in the car to head to the Orlando Airport. It usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get there.. I got there in 35, no joke. Lol I was speeding again :P Once I got there I met up with another wife. We waited for about 15 minutes before seeing them all coming towards us from the gate. It took a few minutes to find Chris, they all seemed to look alike lol. When I finally found him, I ran to him and gave him the biggest hug ever. His friend didn't have a ride home, so Chris offered to drive him home, so the ride home pretty much sucked, I was stuck in the back seat by myself just sitting there not talking :( So that part was pretty lame, but overall, that was one of the best days of my life :) And I can't wait to go through it all again pretty soon!

Day Twenty Five

Favorite moment or experience you have had with the military

It's probably lame but, my favorite moment is
when we got our first house together.
We've had so many memories there,
and I'll never forget it! :)

Day Twenty Four

Post a picture of your spouse's favorite sports team

He likes the Patriots, Red Sox, and Lakers :) He has friends who are fans of their rival teams, so there is always an argument with someone when one of these games is on.. It's entertaining to see how mad they get at eachother lol

Day Twenty Three.

Post a picture and tell what your life would be like without your spouse.

My life without my husband would be close to nothing. That's why there's no picture. He has given me so much, and has made such a good life for the both of us. I honestly don't know what I would do without him. Thank you Chris, for everything you have done. I love him more than anyone could begin to imagine.

Day Twenty Two

Post a picture of what keeps you strong when your military spouse is away

The one thing that helps to keep me strong is my family.
They are always so supportive,
and show so much love.
I don't know what I would do without them <3

Day Twenty-One

(Yes I know I skipped day 20, I didn't have anything for that picture so I decided not to do it.. oops)

Post a picture of a movie or show you watch when your spouse is away that you usually don’t watch when he is home and tell why you don’t watch it when he is home.

One of my favorite shows! I don't watch it while Chris is around, because he likes to critique it, and say stuff like "Oh that would never happen" "They don't do it like that" And it's kind of annoying, I mean, c'mon it's a tv show. But I love it so much, I think I've seen every episode :)
